Be fascinated by the theoretical limits of the moment. What starts out as beauty soon becomes corroded into a cacophony of defeat, leaving only a sense of decadence and the inevitability of decay. By rejecting an objective standard, you are confronted with the conditioning of your own perception and may (perhaps) reconsider your unconciously biased position. These works are saturated with obviousness, irony, clichés and bad literary associations. They question the coerciveness that is derived from the superficial aesthetic appearance of an image. By parodying social media in exaggerating certain formal aspects inherent to our salon society, they seduce the viewer into a world of ongoing disequilibrium. Moments are depicted that only exist to punctuate the human condition in order to clarify our existence and to find poetic meaning in entropy.
